Martin Thompson, President, Funeral Director
Martin Thompson has been a dedicated member of the Funeral Service industry for over 37 years. Born to a renowned Funeral Director, Guy Thompson, Martin was immersed in the industry from a young age. For 22 years, Martin worked at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home under his father's guidance. In 1998, Martin followed in his father's footsteps by opening his own Funeral Home, the "Martin Thompson Funeral Home", located in Grapevine, Texas.
Martin continued to expand his reach in the industry by becoming the majority owner of the only Funeral Home in Keller, Texas and a part owner of the "Blessing Funeral Home" in Mansfield. Although he sold his funeral homes in 2006, Martin and his son continued to manage another funeral home in Grapevine.
Outside of his work, Martin has been an active member of the Grapevine community, serving as the past Chairman of the Board of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce and past President of the Grapevine Ambucs. He also contributed to various civic and charitable causes in Grapevine. Martin is committed to providing exceptional service at an affordable price to all in the Tarrant County area.
Janice Thompson, Vice-President
Janice Thompson, wife of Martin Thompson, was born and raised in Brownwood, Texas, where she graduated from Brownwood High School. She went on to attend the University of Texas, Austin, and is proud to be an alumna.
Janice has extensive experience in the Insurance Industry and Mortgage Banking, having worked as a loan officer. Her expertise in these fields has equipped her with valuable skills that she can contribute to the funeral home.
Janice has been an active supporter of her husband's work in the Funeral Service industry, and she will continue to assist in any way she can, as she has done in the past. Her dedication and willingness to help make her a valuable asset to the funeral home.
Jon Thompson, Funeral Director
Jon Thompson has devoted his life to funeral service, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, the late Guy Thompson of Thompson’s Harveson & Cole, and his father, Martin Thompson. Their example instilled in him a lifelong respect for the profession and a deep commitment to serving families with compassion.
Jon earned his Mortuary Science degree from Amarillo College, becoming a licensed funeral director in the State of Texas. For more than 21 years, he has guided families with dignity and care, helping them create meaningful tributes that honor and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
As Managing Funeral Director, Jon carries forward his family’s legacy while providing personal attention to every family he serves. His dedication to excellence and heartfelt service continues to define his calling in funeral care.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. When he’s able to step away from the funeral home, you’ll often find him playing basketball, fishing or hunting, surfing or enjoying time with family and friends.
Peyton Thomas, Funeral Director & Embalmer
Peyton Thomas, a proud fourth-generation resident of Dallas/Fort Worth, has been part of the Thompson family since 2020. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Midwestern State University, followed by an Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science and Anatomy from Northeast Texas Community College. Peyton's unwavering dedication to her craft led her to pursue her passion in Postmortem Reconstructive Surgery, which she continues to refine under the tutelage of Vernie Fountain at Fountain National Academy.
Brittany Thompson, Communications
Brittany Thompson has been working alongside her husband, Jon Thompson, for six years, providing compassionate support to families during their most difficult times.
While pursuing her college education, Brittany gained invaluable experience as an administrator assistant/office manager for Martin and Jon's funeral home. Her responsibilities included managing all insurance needs for families and assisting in funeral services.
Brittany graduated from Texas Christian University (TCU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in RTVF (Radio, Television, and Film) Communications. Her education has equipped her with excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Brittany is dedicated to providing empathetic care and guidance to families in need.
