Obituary of Michael David Sarrett

Mike Sarrett passed away on March 11, 2022, in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas at the exhilarating age of 69. He has left a permanent imprint in the lives of many, filling the roles of best husband, dad, grandpa, and friend.

Mike’s life was fulfilled by his love for his family and country.  He married his high school sweetheart and served 20 years in the Air Force as an aircraft maintainer, creating many memories and an amazing family.  He will be remembered for his contagious smile and attitude, personalized song renditions, laughing at his own “dad jokes,” and being the life of the party.  

Mike is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cathi, his children(Jason, Breanna, and Kimberly) and their families, to include numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He is also survived by two siblings. Mike is now resting in peace, joining his parents (George and Anna) and three siblings…an exciting reunion!

Services: A viewing will start at 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76133. Classy-casual attire is encouraged in his favorite color green. He will be buried at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery the following Monday, where he will rest beside fellow veterans and be remembered as one of our nation’s true heroes.
