Obituary of Steven Reynolds Hudson

Steven Reynolds Hudson, age 67, entered into Heaven on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest of Fort Worth, after a brief illness.   

Steven was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to S.R. “Ted” Hudson and Margaret Hudson (White). He was a graduate of John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas.

Steven recently – and reluctantly -- retired as an iron worker.  He loved his job, and was quite skilled in his trade, having been a part in the building of AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field, both in Arlington as well as Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.  He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed taking his Harley out on the road whenever possible.  He also loved animals.

He is survived by his devoted significant other, Nancy Mullins of Fort Worth; his loving daughter, Stephanie (Chris) of Baker City, Oregon; and his grandson, Nickalos Spicer of Bend, Oregon. Steven is also survived by his sister, Lynn (Roger) Lumley of Tyler; niece Mara (James); niece Lauren (Micah); and nephew Warren.

He was preceded in death by his father S.R. “Ted” Hudson, and his mother Margaret White.
Considering Steven’s kind and generous nature, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that individuals donate their time or resources at a local animal rescue or help someone in need.

When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me,
Do not shed tears my family and friends,
why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little–but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low,
remember the love that we once shared.

For this is a journey we all must take,
and each must go alone.

It’s all a part of the Master’s plan,
a step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know.
