NEW HUDSON -- Pedro and Steven Montanez, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Marty Leonard Chapel, 3131 Sanguinet St. Ft. Worth. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Pedro Montanez was born on August 22, 1978 in New York, NY. He enjoyed CrossFit, running and spending time with his family. Pedro was a 1996 graduate of Killeen High School. He worked for 17 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice before retiring to take care of his children. Steven Montanez was born on December 20, 2005 in Killeen, TX. He was a third grader at Kent Lake Elementary in New Hudson, MI. Steven attended Caprock Elementary in Keller until moving to New Hudson in 2013. He loved to play Minecraft, play outside and go to the park. Survivors: Pedro's wife and Steven's mother, Jennifer Montanez; Pedro's son and Steven's brother, Michael Montanez; Pedro's daughter and Steven's sister, Valencia Montanez; Pedro's father and Steven's grandfather, Pedro Montanez Sr.; Pedro's mother and Steven's grandmother, Susan Montanez; Pedro's brother and Steven's uncle, Monty Montanez and wife Alice Bongiovanni; Jennifer's twin sister and Steven's aunt, Jacklyn Cruz; Pedro's sister and Steven's aunt, Leeann Montanez; nieces, nephews and cousins, Bryan, Kaitlyn and Irelyn Cruz, Brandonn Butts, Jaeshaun Peyton, and Giulio Montanez; and extended family.
